“At Google Atlanta, we believe in the power of empowering future generations through education, opportunity and technology” Amin DamjiSenior Director of Global Network Infrastructure at Google, says about the new collaboration.

“The International Baccalaureate curriculum taught through language and innovation at Atlanta International School has the potential to open doors to the world for local students. Our partnership with AIS will help expand those opportunities and provide greater access to a diverse student body here in Atlanta,” continued Mr. Damji.

The partnership with Google includes providing financial assistance to children eligible for the AIS program.

Last year, financial aid supported about 13 percent of AIS students. With Google’s support, the school hopes to grow that number. Any family can apply to the school for financial aid—the regular application season begins Oct. 1, and rolling application runs throughout the year.

“Need-based financial aid allows children from all walks of life to experience the incredibly powerful combination of the IB curriculum and the intentionally inclusive intercultural community here at Atlanta International School,” says AIS School Principal Kevin Glass“This learning environment gives our students the best possible start to go out and live lives of meaning, joy, and purpose in our complex, interconnected world.”

In addition to financial support, the Google-AIS collaboration will also create a series of collaborative educational programs for students and teachers. The initiatives, which are still in their early stages, will leverage Google’s expertise to enhance the IB curriculum and support innovative teaching methods.

Families interested in exploring educational opportunities at AIS, including financial aid supported by Google, are invited to apply for the upcoming academic year. For more information, visit www.aischool.org or call (404) 841-3840.
