Suspicious fire destroys classrooms at Melbourne’s Point Cook school

A suspicious fire broke out at a school in Melbourne’s southwest, destroying a number of portable classrooms.

The fire broke out at the school on Boardwalk Blvd in Point Cook at 8.15pm on Wednesday.

No one was hurt in the fire, but many classrooms were significantly damaged.

The crime scene has been secured and an arson chemist will be on site on Thursday.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
