Shaquille O’Neal Foundation Unveils Future Youth Center for Northeast Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation on Wednesday opens a future youth center for the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.

Shaquille O’Neal joins Las Vegas Valley leaders and dignitaries to announce a new collaborative facility planned for the northeast part of the valley that is expected to benefit nonprofit organizations.

“This multi-million dollar project will encompass more than 17,000 square feet and will house the nation’s first CIS Alumni Center,” officials said. “The club will provide youth in grades K-12 with the academic, social, emotional, recreational and technological resources needed for youth development.”

The CIS Alumni Center serves former CIS students, helping them continue to develop and succeed in their personal, academic and professional lives.

Following the unveiling, some students will participate in a “Shaq-to-school” event where they will receive personalized Shaq packs filled with school supplies for the 2024-2025 school year.
