MetLife Stadium hosts Youth Football Day ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

On Wednesday, hundreds of young soccer players from across the Tri-State participated in Youth Soccer Day.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Host Committee of New York and New Jersey hosted the event at MetLife Stadium.

The event included dynamic training sessions led by the US Soccer Foundation that focused on dribbling, passing and scoring goals.

“I love the fact that people work so hard to go to the Olympics and the world championships,” said OIivia Imahiyerobo of Cresskill. “And I just love the sport, it’s just so much fun to play.”

MetLife Stadium will host eight World Cup matches, including the final.
