Pune: Residents demand quick action from PMC as NIBM-Undri road work remains risky and incomplete

Ongoing construction is underway to reduce the grade of the road from Clover Hills Society to Clover Hills Plaza, which has caused numerous accidents. A concrete spill from Ready Mix Concrete trucks has made matters worse, causing several fatal accidents.

In response to public concerns, PMC Executive Engineer Anil Sonavane told Pune Pulse, “The plant is currently closed due to rain. The materials will take 2-3 days to dry. Once that happens, we will be able to resume work immediately. There are only two days of work left and I assure you that we will complete it as soon as possible. Our target is to complete this work within a week.”

Despite government guidelines mandating that all construction work be completed before the monsoon season, the project has been ongoing for four months, causing major disruptions and posing significant risks to public safety. Local residents are demanding immediate action from the authorities to resolve these issues and ensure the safety of all road users.
