United Media hosts prestigious international Emmy® semi-finals in Pula: celebrating outstanding achievements in television and film

An expert jury, numerous professionals from the world of television, film and production, as well as numerous well-known guests from the creative industry, will meet in Pula on July 16, where the semi-final jury of the International Emmy® Awards will be held.

United Media, a leading media company in South-Eastern Europe, will soon organize the semi-final of this prestigious international award for the third time in a row, after Dubrovnik and Athens. A jury composed of professionals from the television, film and production industry will evaluate projects in the category “Best acting performance”one of 16 categories of this award.

In accordance with the rules of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the names of the members of the jury that will ultimately select the nominees for the fifty-second International Emmy Awards® will not be announced until after the judging process is complete.

A cash prize of ten thousand euros for the best project

As a leading media company in Southeastern Europe, operating in eight countries, it is a natural and strategic step to join forces with the oldest film festival in Croatia. So on July 17, the day after the International Emmy® Awards, United Media will host another major international event in cooperation with the Pula Film Festival.

This is a TV series pitching and award ceremony as the finale of the international workshop “Make the scene”. The best project will receive a prize of ten thousand euros and will have the opportunity to further develop the project, which will be provided by United Media. The jury that will select the winner consists of Natasa Buljan, Goran Bogdan and Miso Mogorovic.

Participants have already had the opportunity to take part in workshops led by a Greek screenwriter Nikos Panayotopoulosauthor and co-author of numerous award-winning scripts for short films, television series and feature films (“Truants”, 1996, “My Brother and I”, 1998, “False Alarm”, 2000, “The King”, 2003, “Totally Married” 2003, “The Wake”, 2006).

This year Pula will be the focal point and the connection of numerous strong and unique creative energies from different parts of the world. There we will experience high-quality productions and projects that enrich lives, unite people and inspire.
